Provide sensory kits for our library programs: these toys and tools support regulation and focus so neurodivergent youth can participate fully and feel empowered to be themselves. When kids feel supported, creativity and connection naturally follow.

Our 8-week Rock Band program helps young musicians perform covers and create original music. Rock Band boosts participants’ confidence, teamwork, and self-advocacy skills as they explore different musical genres and experience performing together for their community.

Support at this level helps fund monthly trainings for our staff, interns, and volunteers, ensuring our team is equipped to understand and uplift neurodivergent voices. Promoting positive representation for our youth and families, allowing them to see themselves reflected, valued, and celebrated in the people who lead their enrichment programs. Our monthly Family Gatherings are inclusive spaces for neurodiverse families and their friends. These joyful rooftop events at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum are held in collaboration with various local arts organizations and feature specialty drinks crafted by Blue Hat neurodivergent teens from the Center for All Abilities in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Previous Family Gatherings have included field trips to the farm, filmmaking workshops, and puppet shows.
