Formerly the RCSN Special Camp Fair, this annual event has grown to include YEAR-ROUND after-school, sports, travel, and arts programs. Vendors include camps for children with disabilities, as well as landmark NYC institutions such as the 92nd Street Y, the New York Public Library, the Intrepid, the Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, to name only a few. The fair is free for families, and fully accessible.
Art: Jolene Festa leads a 45 minute multi-sensory collage project. Participants will explore texture, color, and shapes through a variety of stimulating materials.
Music: Extreme Kids welcomes Eva Salina, director of the Jalopy Jr. Folk Chorus and former resident artist at the Bank Street School for a concert of traditional music from the Balkans and beyond!
UPDATE: All programming and sites will be closed Sunday as well as today – including Open Play.
Make up classes will be rescheduled.
Stay warm and safe everyone!
Extreme Kids & Crew will be closed from 12/24 - 12/28. There will be no Open Play this weekend. Please check the calendar for Vacation Open Play (12/29 & 12/30).
Join us for a day of free art and play featuring Michael Bean, experienced actor and theater teacher, and our own MusicWorks teacher, Jesse Neuman. Michael will lead us in a mix of fun theater and movement games (bring your best silly faces and animal noises) and Jesse will bring his signature mix of playful and danceable music!
We hope that you will join us for theater, music, or both! This event is free; however, registration is required.
