Summer camp experiences
Children with developmental disabilities are invited to create, socialize and play throughout the summer at Extreme Kids & Crew camp. With no more than nine children per session, camp will foster an atmosphere of inclusion, exploration, socialization and fun.
CAMP REGISTRATION IS FULL
Six one-week sessions will focus on art, music, movement, and local culture, with visiting artists, field trips to NYC cultural centers and time to play in our sensory gym. Our days will be filled with fun and adventure, but also predictability for those who find change and transitions challenging.
PLAY in a fully-equipped gym on equipment normally reserved for therapy.
INTERACT in small groups and practice social skills.
EXPLORE NYC's museums, cultural centers, parks and on a horse!
LEARN about science, art, music, movement and more while having FUN!
Our past summer partners include: KeenNYC, Gallop-NYC, MusicWorks, After-school Magic and more.
Costs and fees: $500/ week (sign up for one-six weeks)
Dates: July 9-August 17 – 8:30-2:30pm – Monday-Friday
Location: Red Hook Space, 71 Sullivan Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 (within P.S. 15)
How to register: Please fill out our online interest form, and we will get in touch with you to schedule a pre-admission interview. Interviews are meant to establish whether Extreme Kids can support your child’s success in our program. Slots fill up quickly; please do not delay if interested.
